It's official!
Check it out; I'm officially a "Planet artist!" A Visual Planet is a website where original art can be downloaded. Its intent is for use in worship. I have been creating art for my church's worship services and announcements for about 10 months so I thought I would submit my art to this site and apply to be one of their artists. I was thrilled to be accepted!!! Now, I need to get busy creating!!!
I'm an AUNT again!!!
I'm an AUNT again!!! My new little nephew made his arrival bright and early this morning. I even get to look after his two older brothers while his folks are busy looking after HIM at the hospital. I am one lucky aunt!!! According to my brother-in-law, mommy and baby are healthy and well! I can't wait to meet him!!!

Corn on the Cob
Abigail: 17 1/2 months
Journaling reads:
Abigail had her first
Corn on the Cob
on Memorial Day.
She LOVED it
and ate the cob clean!

All the elements used here are by my friend, Mo: The backgrounds are from her June orphans, the daisies, and label used on the title are from her Caroline 2 set, and the butter and napkin are from Aunt Laura's Ice Cream. Oh! and the stitching is from her Stitches One set. All from her website www.mojackson.com
Tattle-taling
My 3 year old son, just came into the room saying "Elizabeth hit me" in about the whiniest voice he can muster. Now, I do believe him, but I also know the she probably was instigated in some way to do it. So, I asked him why. Of course, he had NO idea. I asked him what he had done. No idea. I asked him if HE had hit her first......this sheepish grin slowly forms on his face and he shakes his head "yes." I explained that no one should be hitting, but shucks - it is near impossible to get mad at such a face! One of these days, he will probably gain the ability to lie about such an event, but I am so thankful for this time. He is a bit more innocent and I love that!!!

No thoughts in my head...
that's probably another reason for my lack of blogging. Or perhaps it is tht I have TOO many thoughts bouncing around in there. There has been so much going on lately that I am having trouble keeping track of everything. Ordinary daily living can be a full-time pursuit for me and then if you add in extra projects and then, of course, there is this big ol' house being built less than 200 feet from my back door - I get distracted a bit! I am in the picking out mode: plumbing fixtures, flooring fireplace, siding, shingles, kitchen cabinets......and more. It is lots of fun, but my mind is in overdrive.
Indy 500 (again)
Barry at the Indy 500!
Here is Barry watching the race and listening to the scanner. We had great fun listening to the network televisions' radia and getting some behind the scenes info as well as listening to several of the drivers and their crews. We spent most of the race listening to Danica Patrick. We knew exactly why she didn't win and her reaction when the race ended. Pretty fun!!!
Indy 500!
Me at the Indianapolis 500!
Barry was fortunate to snag us some free tickets to the race. He is a racing fan, but we have never gone so it was quite a treat. This particular picture was horrible. I was just a dark silhouette, but after playing with it a bit in Photoshop and running some filters, I came up with this. Hopefully, it looks kind of fun and artistic. I scanned our tickets and used Katie Mann's Motor Mania kit for this layout.

Photos of Faith
Here's one of the reasons for my lack of blogging lately! I have had much of my time occupied creating this book (cover pictured here). Our church is sponsoring a Photos of Faith photography contest. This contest was born for the sole purpose of expressing our faith and glorifying God through visual images. Each photo entry was inspired by the song "How Great Thou Art." We received 123 entries! Each of these portray personal experiences where the presence of God was felt and celebrated. They are wonderfully inspirational! More info can be found at www.newhavenumc.com under "Photos of Faith."
